Patrons
A period of great cultural change and achievement that began in Italy during the 14th century and lasted until the 16th century, marking the transition between Medieval and Early Modern Europe. The thirteenth-century Italian literary revolution helped set the stage for the Renaissance. The Patrons were people during this time that bought art and without them, the Renaissance wouldn't have happened because art was the building block of the era. Some of the patrons of the Renaissance were the Borgias, the Medicis and Pope Julius II.
