Leon Battista Alberti
Leon Battista Alberti lived from 1404–1472. Apart from being an architect, he also worked as a successful humanist, musician, and art theorist. He also wrote art handbooks which explaining the fundamental concepts of art. Alberti was known for the way he made purpose of his structures. Rather than building a mere structure, he gave each structure meaning. He was deeply educated in classic architecture which caused him often include ancient themes in his structures.
